It is USUALLY scheduled for the LAST Saturday of the month from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. MattyвЂ™s offers the National Traffic Safety Institute Six Hour Defensive Driving Classroom Course for $ 45. Below is a list of private institutions in the area that will allow outside teens to attend their program (based on availability). Programs and allow outside students to attend these programs.

Some Catholic High Schools, Yeshivas and other private High Schools in the area offer accredited Driver Ed. Many public schools still offer Driver Ed courses at a cost.

Without taking the High School 16-week program a student would need to wait until 18 years old to have unrestricted driving privileges. This is *NOT THE SAME AS TAKING A FIVE HOUR CLASS* and some lessons at a driving school. These courses are typically 16-week programs, running three hours per week. An accredited Driver Education course can only be given by a Department of Education certified High School.

DRIVERS ED AT HAFTR LICENSE

Probably the most common inquiry we receive is whether a 16 or 17 year old can take a вЂњDriver Ed CourseвЂќ at MattyвЂ™s or any other commercial driving school, in order to receive a full, unrestricted Class D license at 17 years old. After securing your learnerвЂ™s permit and before scheduling a road test, New York State requires you to take this classroom course in order to become a full-fledged licensed driver. We offer the state required pre-licensing classroom course. Pre-Licensing Class (also known as the 5 hour class) We are one of the most reputible driving schools in New York State. Whether you are the confident or nervous type of student, we will be very patient with you.

Our instructors are highly trained professionals who will diligently teach you with utmost attention and patience. We will pick you up and drop you off after a 45-minute lesson using up to date cars that are equipped with dual breaking controls for optimum safety. The form should be mailed to the attention of Eric Finder at the address below or handed to me at Lynbrook High School with payment.We offer private individual driving lessons.

This information will be emailed to EMDS and they will issue the student a car grade, based upon the sucВcessful completion of the paperwork by the parents.Д®MDS will be offering parents the option of either completing the program outlined above, parent instruction only or they can choose to have four private profesВsional individual lessons from EMDS.В It is the parents/students responsibility to schedule the driving lessons with East Meadow Driving School. Parents will be given guidelines, a curriculum, and certification sheets to complete. The parental supervision process will be monitored by East Meadow Driving School (EMDS). To satisfy NYSED regulations, the in-car portion of the program, will be conducted under parental supervision. The program will tentatively run from Septemand conclude January 24, 2022. The Lynbrook Driver Education Program will host a Fall вЂ21 program. ******The Lynbrook Student card should be emailed to East Meadow Driving School if you signed up for the package including lessons.
